On Saturday we simulated! –the students laugh, by which they do not mean that they pretended to feel indisposed, indeed.

The Bibó High School team from Hévíz together with the participating students from Radnóti High School, Budapest and (due to the upcoming Polish Presidency) youngsters coming from Warsaw formed five teams that represented EU member states and got down to work.

A 16-member delegation of high school students arrived at Budapest on 31th March 2011 in order to participate in the Staff of the Presidency summit dealing with the Common Agriculture Policy of the European Union. 10 Hungarian students from Hévíz and Budapest and 6 Polish students from
Warsow came to the meeting.

The zero-day of the stirring professional program began with water experiences at the biggest water theme park of Budapest so the youngsters could get to know each other quicker and easier. The common sliding and splashing was followed by fielding teams representing 5 EU member states in the CAP summit on 2nd April. These countries were Poland, the United Kingdom, Finland, Germany and France, standing for different points of view in the EU. At least one Polish student got into each group and the other team members were chosen mixed from both schools from Hévíz and Budapest.

We look forward to an interesting program on 1st and 2nd April as well. The Parliament, the Ministry of Rural Development and the Royal Palace of Gödöllő are all scheduled, and in the evening a boat trip along the Danube can also not be missed. Based on previous practice, video-recording helps to follow up the program and the results.
